Dark Matter.
Dark Matter: the unknown component of the Universe. One of the still unravelled mysteries in our Universe. The most expected result in nowadays research in Particle Physics and Cosmology.
What hides behind this particle? Is it a particle at all? Where did the Dark Matter tale begin? What are we expecting?
Some topics in which I work that you will be able to find in this blog:
-
Finding evidence for Dark Matter from dynamics in astrophysics:
-
Galactic rotation curves
-
Dispersion velocities in dwarf galaxies
-
Stellar streams moving around galaxies
-
Gravitational lensing in globular clusters
-
Large Scale Structure

- All the observational evidence for this component is obtained through the gravitational force in astrophysical sources. If dark matter is a particle we could maybe also see it at smaller scales, maybe we could see its interactions with other particles. This is where I will tell you about my work in KM3NeT.

A more divulgative introduction

Some months ago I wrote an article for the students group of the Spanish Real Society of Physics. I think it makes the perfect introduction for the articles you will read here.
